Last night I was reading 1 Corinthians 13 and as promised I’m gonna do a blog post.  So I’ve been talking about loving others the past two posts.  This chapter is all about what it means to love someone else.  The first three verses are some of my favorite verses, because they give meaning to actions.  Love gives meaning to actions.

After that, I can make a list of what love is:

-patient (yowser…)

-not jealous or boastful or proud or rude

-does not demand its own way

-not irritable (okay that one is hard)

-keeps no record of wrongs (never?)

-does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices at truth

-never gives up or loses faith (never?)

-hopeful and endures

-last forever

-will last FOREVER

-greatest of the three eternal things (the other two being faith and hope)

*Addition: As I was walking to class, I started to wonder what it means when it says love keeps no record of wrongs.  Does that mean I should automatically forgive someone when they hurt me or wrong me?  That’s hard…
